Your next step
Confirm the requested service before arranging a visit. A question or quote request is not a confirmed appointment.
Separate nationality from eligibility
A lawful permanent resident is not a U.S. citizen, yet may meet the applicant-category condition for the channeler route. A visitor or another noncitizen should not be placed into that same category merely because they are in Florida.
Give an accurate description of your category and current country when asking which service is available. Do not send immigration documents through a public inquiry just to start this discussion; the first question is which route should be reviewed.
Your location and purpose also matter
The channeler restriction includes physical location. Citizenship or a green card alone does not settle availability when you are abroad. The FBI separately describes direct requests involving mailed fingerprint cards, including requests from outside the United States.
A request required for employment or licensing needs the appropriate agency procedure. Avoid treating the phrase “FBI background check” as proof that a personal report will satisfy every recipient. Ask the requesting body to confirm the actual program.
What a provider should clarify
Ask whether the proposed service covers capture only, physical cards, or support with a particular report route. If a partner is involved, the provider should be able to explain the partner’s role and the applicable conditions.
Do not rely on a fast-report headline before the route is confirmed. Before payment, ask Oraz Fingerprinting to confirm the service available for your situation, the submission route and any partner involved.
Prepare a useful first inquiry
State the country where you are now, your general applicant category, why the report is requested, and whether you already have cards or a report. Include the recipient’s wording and deadline without exposing sensitive identifiers.
If the document is for another country, ask separately about authentication and translation after the appropriate report is available. An apostille package does not remove applicant restrictions at the report stage.
Questions about this topic
Can a tourist in Florida use a Departmental Order channeler?
Being physically in Florida is not sufficient. The FBI also restricts that route to U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents.
Does being outside the U.S. prevent every FBI request?
No. The FBI describes a direct route involving mailed cards from abroad. Available company support and delivery still need separate confirmation.
Should I pay before the route is checked?
Ask for confirmation of the eligible route, included work and delivery first, especially when an advertisement assumes electronic submission.
