Which class describes your application?
FDACS distinguishes the investigator, supervised intern, agency and management categories. An intern works within a specified supervision arrangement rather than simply using an employer’s license. Agency and branch applications have their own requirements. If firearms are relevant, the separate Class G requirements must also be checked; a fingerprint appointment does not authorize firearm duties.
Does every investigative job follow this program?
FDACS lists statutory licensing exemptions for particular activities and people. Do not assume that anyone using the word “investigator” needs Class C, or that any employee is exempt because the work is internal. The responsible licensing contact should identify the applicable classification or exemption from the actual duties. A capture provider does not decide that legal question.
How do fingerprints fit into the application?
The FDACS fingerprint FAQ describes a complete set of legible prints and the available electronic collection routes. Follow the application’s accepted provider and submission instructions. Confirm identification, routing and payment handling before capture. A personal FBI Identity History Summary is not the substitute for an FDACS-controlled licensing review.
What should you retain and follow up?
Keep the receipt and TCN, Transaction Control Number, with any required payment confirmation and application documents. Qualifications, supervision, experience and agency review remain separate from capture. Oraz Fingerprinting can confirm available local service after seeing the official request. If the application concerns a business owner or agency principal rather than an individual investigator, make that distinction before booking.
Does your program ask for an ORI?
Identify the requesting program first. Use the directory as a reference and confirm the correct value with the organization before submission.

Is Class A the individual investigator license?
No. FDACS identifies Class A as the private investigative agency category; Class C is the individual investigator.
Can a Class CC intern act without the required sponsorship?
Do not assume so. Follow FDACS’s intern and supervision requirements.
Does a fingerprint receipt complete my license?
No. It documents a fingerprint step, not approval of the application or other qualifications.
