Office fingerprinting appointment. The available FBI report route depends on the applicant and purpose; confirm eligibility if unsure.
Read the request before choosing a product
An employer’s message may ask for fingerprints, a transaction reference, or completion of a particular program. Those requests do not necessarily ask you to obtain and email a personal report. Check the original instructions rather than relying on a verbal description.
Useful details include the requesting organization, the state or program involved, and any enrollment or agency instructions. If this is a Florida screening, the organization may provide an ORI and other required details. Do not guess those details from a job title.
Ask who must receive the result
A key question is whether you are meant to receive a personal document or whether the authorized organization receives screening information through its program. Paying for the wrong deliverable does not reroute it to the employer.
A screenshot, card or appointment receipt may show that you took a step, but it is not a substitute for the receiving organization’s required result. Ask what evidence it needs while processing continues.
Keep separate requests separate
Someone may need a Florida agency screening for a local role and a personal record for another purpose. Do not assume one payment, fingerprint transaction or report covers both. Confirm each request before combining services.
If a foreign visa or residency application is involved, show the exact requirement and country as a separate request. “Work abroad” can describe a visa application or an employer’s screening; that difference needs clarification.
Get the right appointment confirmed
On the Oraz Fingerprinting FBI service page, explain that your request comes from an employer if that is the case. Ask whether the service you are considering matches the required program before paying.
For Florida Level 2 instructions, use the corresponding FDLE service path rather than a personal-report package. The provider should confirm what it can submit; the employer or licensing body determines the requirement and its decision.
Questions about this topic
Can I give an employer my personal FBI PDF instead?
Do not assume it satisfies the request. Ask the employer to confirm its required screening program.
Does an FBI check mean Florida Level 2?
Not automatically. The requesting program and routing instructions determine which service is needed.
What if I already paid for a personal report?
Keep the receipt and ask what was purchased. Confirm the correct screening separately; this guide does not promise a refund or transfer.
