Why does the exact role matter?
The Florida Board of Medicine lists physician assistant licensing separately from medical doctor and anesthesiologist assistant licensing. Similar abbreviations or working in the same practice do not establish the same application. Use the profession named in your licensing account and request letter. A personal FBI report for a foreign employer is a different service from Florida license screening.
What if I am applying for the first time or renewing?
Florida's expanded healthcare screening policy can affect both initial licensing and renewal for screened professions. A licensee who has never completed a suitable state-and-national check should review current DOH instructions. Someone with retained results should first check whether the Department can use them; renewal is not a universal instruction to purchase fresh fingerprints.
Does my employer's screening complete the PA license application?
Do not assume that it does. Ask who needs access to the results and what application they belong to. Missing privacy affirmation or a different agency route can leave a licensing item incomplete even when a capture appointment occurred. If your start date is approaching, explain the stage you have actually reached rather than promising that a scan date is your clearance date.
How should I prepare for the fingerprinting appointment?
Before booking, tell Oraz Fingerprinting which license, board and application type the request concerns. Have the current instructions and any CHAI confirmation available. For a DOH screening, follow the current Clearinghouse process, including the required privacy affirmation. Check whether retained results can be used before paying for fresh fingerprints; a renewal notice does not automatically mean another capture is necessary.
Your appointment instructions provide the appropriate ORI and identification requirements. The separate ORI guide can help explain that identifier, but the requesting authority confirms the route. Bring the requested ID to the appointment and keep the TCN afterward. Is PA the same as a medical assistant?
No. Physician Assistant is a specific licensed profession; use its own application instructions.
Is a PA screening the same as an MD application?
Follow the PA category. Being regulated through a medical board does not make the applications identical.
Who decides whether the screening meets my license requirement?
